Scheduling Appointments
To help treat patients with busy schedules, Dr. Dilley will make every effort to ensure that you will be seen at your appointed time. Patients are seen by appointment only and patients more than fifteen minutes late may be rescheduled. If you need to cancel an appointment, please call 48 hours in advance and we will be glad to reschedule your visit. There is a $25.00 charge for appointments not rescheduled/cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled visit.

Emergencies
Dr. Dilley and his staff are available to treat your asthma and allergy related emergencies, but if you are unable to contact us or if you cannot wait for one of the doctors to return your call, please go directly to the nearest emergency room, so a physician can examine and treat you. If you are admitted, the hospital will contact Dr. Dilley for the admitting orders.

Payment and Insurance

 
 
Co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance are due at the time services are rendered.
We accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.
We may be able to file the necessary payment forms with your health care insurance provider.
We accept most major insurers and health plans, as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
If a primary physician directs your care (HMO, PPO, POS), you must have pre-approval or a referral before you can see the physician. Without pre-approval, charges for the visit become your responsibility.
   
 
 
Prescription Refills
Prescription refills requiring Dr. Dilley's authorization are only renewed during office hours so that we can review your progress.
 
     
 

Medications for the treatment of Rhinitis
 
Non-Prescription antihistamines

All of the non-prescription antihistamines (combined with decongestants) are "first generation" antihistamines and generally cause drowsiness, slowed reaction time and dry mouth in most people.

Many brand name and generic formulas are available without prescription. If you are in doubt as to whether or not a product contains an antihistamine, consult your physician or pharmacist.

The following medications are "second generation" antihistamines and generally do not cause the side effects of "first generation" antihistamines, such as drowsiness, slowed reaction time and dry mouth.
